Design
Design has always been Don Merlino’s passion. And part of his job. So, by taking over this old barracks of foresters, abandoned for 30 years, he immediately understood the potential of this modernist reinforced concrete construction of 1954.
Ecology
La Forestale, a positive and educational approach. As a recognized expert in sustainable development, Don Merlino has put all his knowledge into the project: respecting the surrounding nature, minimizing consumption, favoring renewable energies, aiming for energy autonomy.
Gastronomy
La Forestale, a place where it is good to eat! So think of this, in the hamlet of Furlo alone, 50 inhabitants and no less than 5 restaurants!
Located in the town of Acqualagna, Capital of the white truffle and the only city in the world to claim the truffle all year (there are no less than 9 kinds of truffles on the territory), La Forestale is the ideal starting point to discover all the gastronomic wonders of the Marche Region.

The Furlo is an incredibly preserved place: a true paradise for wilderness lovers. The Candigliano River, renowned for its rather unreal emerald color, meanders between the imposing rock walls of the Furlo Gorge, beauties shaped over millennia by the river. For successful selfies 😉
